Dear Freedom Family,

I am excited to share with you information about our Annual Impact initiatives. These efforts will be funded through a special offering that begins now and continues through December 31, 2013. Over the last 2 1/2 years we have watched God expand our church from just a handful of people to a thriving and growing church of hundreds of people with one common vision: Love Jesus. Serve People. Adopt the City.

Our hope is to make an even greater impact with the Gospel in the coming year. With this special offering we have the opportunity to deepen and extend our impact through 4 primary outreach initiatives that are outlined in this Impact Guide.

Will you begin praying now about what God would have you give, over and above your regular giving, to this special effort? Allow God to stretch your faith!

Your partner in the gospel,
Pastor Justice Coleman
(Lead Pastor | Freedom Church)

Neighborhood Impact

At least twice a year we pull together as an entire community to make a city wide impact! The week before school begins, when families struggle to provide new shoes and basic school supplies, we aim to hook up 1,000 students with brand new backpacks full of school supplies.

Easter Sunday has been called the Super Bowl of the Christian community. More unchurched and dechurched friends, family and co-workers attend church than any other day of the year. This presents an incredible opportunity to attract new families from our neighborhood to a Gospel driven Easter outreach service and giant community egg hunt full of prizes.

In past years, both of these outreach events have drawn thousands of people in attendance on a single Sunday and led to hundreds of decisions to follow Jesus and get water baptized. The impact of these initiatives grows every year… Completely changed neighbors, completely change a neighborhood.

Online Video Impact

Did you know that we have just as many people listening to sermons online each week as we do attending on Sunday morning? There is a huge and growing audience of people that we have been able to impact with the gospel through our website and smart phone app and many guests have expressed that this was their “first step” to visiting Freedom on a Sunday.

We want to take our online experience and presentation of the Gospel to the next level by video recording our services and making them available each week on our website and video smart phone app. Technology has extended our reach for evangelism and discipleship!

Medical Missions Overseas

Every month, through your tithes and offering, Freedom financially supports global missions through Foursquare Missions International . We also partner with our very own “in house” missionary, Chris Stanton, who has been serving the people of Morocco (99% Muslim) for over 17 years.

This year we plan to train a medical missions team at Freedom Church and send them overseas to help a developing nation in great need of medical aid.

Taking New Ground in Highland Park

Highland Park, Los Angeles is a city desperate for a life giving and life changing church in the community. This past summer we sent Pablo Pena out as a missionary to this city and he and his launch team have been working hard to launch a Freedom Church location in 2014.

So far they have given away 1,000 backpacks full of school supplies, started two Laundry Love locations, and currently host a weekly meal that has already provided nearly 1,000 meals to families in need.

We can boost their support this year and help increase their city impact!

Why a Special offering?

As part of God’s plan to grow the faith of the people in His church, He calls us to sacricial giving from time to time. is special offering is an opportunity for us to grow in our faith and to prepare us for what God wants to do through our church in 2014. The offering is not because we are behind on budget, but rather is to position us to make a greater impact in our city, in our church, and around the world in 2014.

What’s the difference between the regular offering and the Annual Impact Offering?

Regular giving is a proportional amount, usually 10% (tithe) of your income, to be set apart on a systematic basis. We believe tithing is the benchmark gift God asks of those who follow Jesus. However, from time to time in the Bible there are examples of when God would ask the people to give a sacrificial offering, such as a freewill offering. The Annual Impact Offering is one of those sacrificial occasions where we believe God is asking us to stretch and grow in our faith. Your Annual Impact Offering gift should be over and above what you regularly give.

***Everything in the annual impact offering that is given above our goal of $10,000 will go directly toward evangelism and outreach in 2014 and not the operational budget. is is an opportunity to concentrate and accelerate our evangelism impact next year.

Since our initiatives will cost as much as $25,000, this special offering will involve everyone. Please prayerfully consider a sacrificial gift that will stretch your faith. For some of you, a sacrificial gift is $100, for others, it might be tens of thousands of dollars. The issue is not equal giving, but equal sacrifice. What amount can you give that will stretch your faith?

When should I give?

The best time to give will be the rst Sunday after you receive this packet. Please pray about making your best gift on that day. However, you can continue to give until December 31, 2013. Remember, consistent gifts over time add up – a person giving $100 per week over a five week period will give $500 to this special offering.

Can I give in-kind gifts of stocks or bonds?

Of course! Since Freedom Church is a 501c3 organization there can be tremendous tax benefits for you by giving in-kind gifts. For information on this type of giving, simply contact Michael Santiago, Lead Administrator, at

Can I continue to give toward this effort in 2014?

Yes, though we encourage you to give by the end of this year, those who are able to expand their generosity by giving a one-time gift or monthly recurring gifts in 2014 will help us reach our goal quicker and make a greater impact through our initiative.
