We are asking you to go on a spiritual journey with God and your family that will potentially lead to the biggest step of generosity you’ve ever taken as we move together to accomplish God’s mission for us for decades to come. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
What are you asking me to do?
We’re asking you to start with prayer. Seek God’s direction for how He’s calling you to grow in generosity. This isn’t just about giving-it’s about discipleship. Once you’ve heard from Him, make a sacrificial commitment— a step of radical trust. We’re believing God will move in powerful, personal ways as we respond together.
Mark your calendar for Commitment Sunday: April 13, 2025.
How is Momentum different from previous giving campaigns?
Momentum isn’t just about raising money for a building — it’s about raising faith across our entire church. It’s a unified, two-year vision to fund life-changing ministry and establish a permanent home through a ONE FUND approach. Whether you’re new to giving or already committed, Momentum invites everyone to take a next step in generosity.
What is the total goal — and how does it compare to our current giving?
We’re trusting God to provide $11.9M over two years. Our current giving is about $3.2M/year (or $6.4M over two years). That means we’re believing God for an increase of $5.5M- a bold step that only He can accomplish through us.
When do we start giving?
You’ll make your commitment on or before April 13, but actual giving doesn’t begin until Big Give Sunday on May 4, 2025. This gives you time to prepare and plan your generosity.
Do we give to two separate funds (one for tithe, and one for the building fund)?
No, you will give to One Fund (the Momentum fund) that includes your regular giving (tithes and offerings) and your above-and-beyond gifts – all in one place.
How long is the Momentum commitment?
Each Momentum commitment is for 24 months, from May 2025 through May 2027. It’s a two-year journey of consistent, prayer-led giving.
Are there other ways to give besides cash?
Absolutely. Many people give through stored resources such as stocks, real estate, or savings. If you’d like help giving through non-cash assets, please reach out to Larry Boatright at larry@freedom.church and we’ll walk you through the process.
I've never given to Freedom Church before. Is this for me?
Yes – Momentum was built with you in mind. It’s a great time to begin your generosity journey. Rather than creating separate steps for new givers, Momentum is one unified initiative. Whether this is your first or biggest gift, there’s a place for you.
What if I'm new to Freedom Church?
If you’re getting to know us, welcome! We’re so glad you’re here. We’d love for you to join us in this vision when you’re ready. We believe the local church is one of the most life-giving missions you can invest in.
What if I'm not currently working?
God calls us to trust Him in every season. Your Momentum commitment should reflect a heart surrendered to Him, not a dollar amount compared to others. That could look like selling something, picking up side work, or simply trusting God to provide.
What if I'm currently paying off debt?
If you’d like help creating a budget of learning to handle money God’s way, please e-mail larry@freedom.church and we will save you a spot in our new Financial Freedom Life Group starting in May.
What if my circumstances change after I make my commitment?
We understand that life happens. A commitment is not a contract-it’s a step of faith. If something changes, you can update your commitment at any time. What matters most is that you’re listening to God and walking in obedience.
What if I still have questions?
We’d love to help you process your commitment and answer any questions you may have. Email larry@freedom.church or visit freedom.church/momentum to learn more.
What if I'm currently paying off debt?
That’s a wise step, and we encourage you to continue pursuing financial freedom. At the same time, we believe everyone can take a step of obedience in generosity, no matter their season. If you’d like help creating a budget or learning to give
