WHAT IS THE COMMITMENT AND HOW LONG?

Volunteer teams run on a 12 week semester system. Depending on how often you are available, (weekly, twice a month, or once a month) volunteers commit to serving the full term of the semester. It is not unusual for a new volunteer to fall in love with their team and serve for multiple semesters or graduate to a “team leader” position. It is also not unusual for volunteers to try out new teams and opportunities at the conclusion of the semester. There are lots of fun ways to serve.

DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER TO SERVE?

Our motto around here is, “You can belong before you believe.” You don’t have be a member to volunteer. Joining a team is a great way to get connected and meet some great people.

MY WORK AND FAMILY SCHEDULE IS OFTEN INCONSISTENT

The reality is, “life happens.” People get sick, families emergencies come up, your boss at work might schedule an important work trip… We all know this. That is why all volunteers serve on a team, so we can get the job done together. Don’t let any unrealistic fears of commitment stop you from getting involved and connected!
